I moved to MHC nearly five years ago and love it here. I have heard a lot of negativity concerning our hospital and I would like to offer some feedback. Recently, I underwent major surgery and spent 3 days at CGH. My surgeon, Dr. Jeffrey Moore, performed a miracle with his magic hands and I was then in the care of the most competent and giving staff that I have ever encountered. From pre-op to post-op, the nurses at CGH gave me wonderful, undivided attention and made my stay an experience worth telling others about. Not only was I able to rest comfortably for the most part, I was treated with concern, professionalism and I wanted for nothing. Each of you deserves kudos for the job that you do every day.I also would like to thank the Physical Therapy staff at Moore Orthopedic(MSTR) for the job they have done and are still doing for me. They are knowledgeable, professional and above all offer one on one attention to their patients. It is because of them (with special thanks to Carissa and Sarah) that my recovery has been so speedy and I am well on the way to total good health. Thank you Dr. Moore, Dr. Kirby, your staff at MOSM and everyone at Cartaret General Hospital for taking such wonderful care of me.
Dr. Moore, I wanted to take a moment or two to express my appreciation. As you know, I had to have a total hip replacement. I could not have found a better Surgeon than what I found in you. You, Dr. Moore, are the VERY BEST at what you do. Very few people will know what a challenge you had with my hip replacement. It was very complicated and risky because my leg had been broken before and there were still some screws in my leg. You took on the challenge and made it a complete success for me. I thank the Lord Jesus for your talents and abilities as a doctor and surgeon. My recovery was fast. Other than muscle pain from the therapy, there was a total absence of pain, something I was not expecting or have known for quite a few years. Just to be honest with you, you are the only doctor I would have chosen and trusted to get everything right the first time.
